Background:Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) has ravaged three countries in West Africa. The mortality rate is extremely high, and it is perceived not only as threat to all of Africa but to the entire world. There is no known treatment to date other than administration of convalescent blood or experimental monoclonal antibodies, which both often fail. Ozone therapy (OT) has been in clinical use for decades and has been found to have physiological effects, which should directly inactivate the virus itself, as well as modulate its damaging effects. Materials and Methods:?Ozone therapy administration by a combination of direct intravenous gas administration, rectal gas administration and ozonized water was administered to three patients with known acute EVD, one with apparent acute infection, and one case of extremely high risk. Treatment was carried out for up to ten days despite fast total remission of symptoms. Vitamin C and glutathione supporting supplements were administered. Results: Four symptomatic patients, three with test positive EVD confirmation and one (who suffered Ebola contaminated needle stick contamination three days earlier) without lab confirmation all remitted symptoms within 2-4 days and fully recovered. All four ill cases had an immediate recovery course upon initiation of therapy. The single case of non-symptomatic high-risk exposure treated preventively did not develop symptoms.?
Conclusion:?Ebola virus may have a very narrow window of redox infectivity capacity, which can be easily exploited with OT. OT may be a useful modality in EVD and other viral diseases and should be immediately studied to save lives that might otherwise be lost. 結論：埃博拉病毒可能有一個很窄的氧化還原感染能力的窗口，這是很容易利用OT。三氧療法在埃博拉和其他病毒性疾病中可能是一種有用的方法，應該立即進行研究，以挽救可能失去的生命。

An AIDS IIIc patient with fatigue, syndrome of intestinal malabsorption, polyneuropathy, anemia, elevated glocuse, creatinin and prothrombine time, CD4 count in 37 cells and viral burden in 2 400 000/mL, and anemia of 10 g/L, was studied. He had been receiving a cocktail of triple retroviral therapy. He was administered a cycle of ozone by rectal route at a dose of 5 mg together with interferon, transference factor and recombinat erythropoietin. On concluding the treatment, a final evaluation was made and it was found that fatigue, diarrheas, dehydration and anemia had disappeared.He has gained 8 pounds of weight and the values of glucose, creatinin and prothrombin time had become normal. He continued receiving uninterruptedly interferons and antiretroviral therapy and 3 months later it was observed that the CD4 count increased to 546 with 30 % and the viral burden decreased to 1700/mL. HIV continues to be one of the biggest problems for the global public health. The African region is one of the most affected, accounting for almost two thirds of the new infections. Many of them are retroviral medications and multi-therapies aiming to stop the viral replication and maintaining immunological stability, which fail to guarantee the quality of life or enhance the patient's immunity
Ozone has biological properties, among which the antimicrobial and modulatory effect on the immune response is highlighted, which makes it possible to use it in a complementary way for the treatment of these patients.
We conducted the present study in which the effect of the ozone therapy administered systemically (blood route) is analyzed. We have studied 32 patients to whom we applied Major Autohemotherapy with a protocol of 15 sessions and maintenance every 15 days at 50 μg/ml of concentration; the initial dose was 4,000 μg/mlup to 12,000 μg/ml
We indicated viral load, CD4 and CD8 counts before and at the end of therapy. The results showed a significant decrease in viral load to undetectable values and an increase of CD4 and CD8 at the end of the 15 sessions, being maintained at 2 years of treatment, thus achieving a permanent activation of the immune system and improving the quality of life of these patients.
